Help Tracey

Tracey is a strong and beautiful spirit who has recently fallen onto extremely hard times. A creative being by nature, she studied at the world renowned Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute. She then went on to Italy to study under several top chefs.

Upon coming back to the states, she moved to San Francisco, married and has 3 beautiful children, ages 13, 12 and 10. After working as the head chef at several local restaurants, she put her blood, sweat, tears and savings into opening her own restaurant in Oakland. Unfortunately, not long after it's opening she had to close it's doors. Around the same time, Tracey's mom passed away from cancer. In that short period she lost the restaurant, her mom and eventually her marriage. She fell ill, lost her home and subsequently her children.

She has been in a county hospital the past 6 months fighting for her life, coming close to death several times. We, Team Tracey,  are friends helping Tracey’s fight to receive appropriate medical care and get back on her feet again. She dreams of one day teaching culinary classes and beginning a program to make hospital food healthy and healing for patients. Her biggest dream, however, is being reunited with her 3 children. 

All donations will go into a trust to help supplement Tracey's medical care, medical bills, transportations, wound care and basic living needs like clothing, food and shelter. We are asking for donations because while physically at this time she has very little, she does have her fighting spirit, family and friends who love her, a great hope for the future and kindness from donors like you.
