Our dear friend, Geri Ingram, has been cleaning homes to make ends meet during the pandemic. Unfortunately, she took a very bad fall off of a step while cleaning, fractured her cervical spine, and has lost all movement and feeling from her neck down. She spent a week in ICU and is now in a rehabilitation hospital, but has had no improvement since her accident. Her prognosis is unknown, but what is certain is that she has a very long and difficult road of recovery ahead of her.

I have known Geri since I was two years old. Her daughter, Crystal, and I went all through elementary, middle and catechism school together. They lived on the same street and our moms have been the best of friends for 48 years. I have to say that Geri is one of the kindest, hardworking and thoughtful people that I know. Raised in an Italian family, she finds happiness in cooking and caring for others. Geri’s warm and happy nature always makes people feel loved and welcomed. She is an amazing mother and a loving and devoted grandmother. She also has a dog, Jack, whom she adores and who is desperately missing her while she is in the hospital.

Geri has touched the lives of many in her special way and I hope that you can please touch hers by donating. She will require 24 hour care when she is released from the hospital. We don’t want Geri to have to worry about her after-care, her home or her dog while she is trying to regaining her mobility. This is a way for us to care for our dear friend during her time of need.
