Epilepsy Treatment for Jude
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Kim Wolfe Murray. I'm raising funds to help send my 22 year old son Jude for a two month therapeutic stay at Ayurvedic healing centres and a specialist medical clinic in India.

Jude was diagnosed with epilepsy over three years ago. He's been able to manage his symptoms to a limited extent with prescribed medication but the side effects have had a debilitating effect on his quality of life and future prospects.
His condition has shown no sign of significant improvement which has lead to a deep and long lasting state of depression as his everyday life is continually disrupted by seizures.
On a recent working trip to India, I was introduced to the ancient healing tradition of Ayurveda. I discovered that there are well established Ayurvedic hospitals with a high success rate of treating epilepsy.
After several months of research exploring the pros and cons of various Ayurvedic hospitals in India, I was introduced to a specialist in in epilepsy treatment, Dr Vinud. He is the senior consultant at the Srinatha Ayurveda Asramaman Ayurvedic Residential Centre in the foot hills of the Western Ghats, Kerala.

This clinic stood out because of its highly responsive and dedicated healthcare team, as well as the authentic Ayurvedic principles that permeates every aspect of the centre. It is also the only one that offers such a highly personalised treatment programme, limiting the number of patients to a maximum of five at a time.
Dr Vinod will supervise an intensive three week healing programme including an Ayurvedic nutritional diet, daily massage sessions, detox purifying techniques, applications with medicated oils, medicinal decoctions and internal medicines. Integrating with the natural environment surrounding the healing centre is very much part of the treatment.
We were advised that Jude would benefit from an extended period of rest and rehabilitation in an Ayurvedic retreat centre after his initial treatment for an additional few weeks.
Due to the nature of Jude’s condition, my wife and I intend to be based in India during this period of time to ensure his safety and support his recovery.

Any funding we receive will go towards the costs of Jude’s estimated two month stay in India including return flights from Scotland, travel insurance, full board and clinic fee at Srinatha Ayurveda Asramaman, plus additional accommodation and living expenses while in India.
I'd be so grateful for any contributions you could offer to help provide Jude with this potentially life changing opportunity.
With best wishes,
Kim
