Epilepsy supplies and support
Donation protected
Only a few people know but my two year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. I’m asking if you would donate towards our cause to enable St Richards hospital to have their own machine. These funds will help towards EEG equipment which is used for epilepsy, coma patients, Alzheimer’s, autism and much more. These funds will help towards providing safety equipment which is life saving with certain types of epilepsy and seizures. Elodie had to have safety equipment at home which is rather pricey! I’m lucky enough to be in a position that meant I could provide these but some people are not. We had to travel to Brighton for our EEG as that is the only university Sussex hospital with the machine currently. This is not an easy journey as you can imagine. Many hospital stays and petrifying moments have torn through our household effecting everyone in it. I have received amazing support and training and learnt a lot about a disability I knew nothing about. It’s not just the seizures you see on tv. This is scary and intense and complicated. I want to spread awareness and can answer any questions. I’m hoping to put together a fundraising and awareness day in the near future!
