Epilepsy action - London Marathon – Who Saw That Coming?

So, here’s the thing—I applied for the London Marathon as a joke. Like, “Haha, imagine if I actually got in” kinda joke. Turns out... the joke’s on me because I GOT IN. And now I’m running 26.2 miles. Voluntarily. Who am I?!

But here’s why this isn’t just a wild personal challenge—I'm running for Epilepsy Action, a charity that means a huge amount to me. As a kid, I had epilepsy. It’s an isolating and often debilitating condition, and at times, it made life feel pretty tough. Thanks to the amazing consultants at King’s College, I’ve now been seizure-free for 11 years—something I’ll never take for granted.

Epilepsy Action does incredible work supporting people living with epilepsy, offering advice, helplines, and campaigning to make sure their voices are heard. They help create a world where epilepsy doesn’t hold anyone back—and I’d love to do my bit to support them.

So, I’ve gone from someone who hated running (seriously, I’d barely run for a bus) to someone about to take on the London Marathon. And if I’m putting myself through months of training, blisters, and probably some very dramatic complaining, the least I can do is make it count!

If you can spare a few quid to support this amazing cause, I’d be so grateful—every penny goes towards helping people with epilepsy live without limits. And if not, no worries—just promise to cheer me on when I inevitably hit "The Wall" at mile 20.

Thanks so much for the support! ‍♂️
