Many of you know Lito and Irma Gomez, who have been a part of the Valley View ISD family for over 30 years. They are going through an extremely difficult time with their younger son Michael Gomez, who has been battling leukemia for the past three years. Sadly, Michael was losing the battle, so he decided to return home to hospice care to be with his family and his dog for the remaining of his time. As of yesterday, 6:20 P.M., Michael is at peace.

As you can understand, the family is going through a very challenging time in their lives. In addition, there are outstanding medical bills adding up along with funeral costs. In reaching out to Lito and him being the humble and very kind-hearted person that he is, what they ask from us are prayers for their son and their family to have the strength to endure this very unfortunate situation. However, not only do our prayers go out to them, but also our hearts.
