Hello,
My name is Todd Fringer. My reason for starting gofundme is to purchase an extreme terrain (other then hard surface) wheelchair. One capable of going through deep, loose sand, mud or uneven terrain.
 
In April 2005 a drunk driver ran me over. Traumatic neck injuries at vertebra C1-C7 resulted in Quadreplegia. Amazing doctors, therapist, nurses, family and friends helped me through recovery and rehabilitation. I've progressed from being totally paralyzed to living independently.

Quality of life is important to everyone. For me, being outdoors to enjoy nature is huge. I recently moved to coastal Florida, from Minnesota, for warm climate and the ocean. Both provide an ideal setting for year round mobility and photography. For eight years I've used my camera as part of my therapy. You can imagine my excitement to be on the beach snapping breathtaking photos. However, the beaches have deep sugar sand which standard power wheelchairs cannot travel through. Believe me, I've tried. No matter where I go, if it's off a hard surface my wheelchair gets stuck. Did you watch my video?  Frustrating!

I served in the Army for 22 years. It was a great honor to protect the country and our people. Cavalry Scout (19D4PD3) was my job. I am Airborne -a Master Gunner, Senior Scout, Senior Jumpmaster. I fought in Iraq and earned The Bronze Star. In 2006 I retired as a 100% Disabled, Service Connected Veteran.
