Our beloved Epic Gamer Grandma, Agnes passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at 9:20 AM, holding the hand of her daughter, my mum, Pauline.
We are raising £5,000 to give Agnes the beautiful funeral she deserves.
Our Primary Goal: Funeral Costs (£5,000)
• Cremation and crematorium fee: £660-£685
• Funeral director’s charges: £1,650
• Service venue, flowers, memorial cards, refreshments: £600
• Additional costs and contingencies: £1,000-£2,000
Agnes’s funeral service will be a celebration of her incredible life. We want to honour her with dignity, love, and the kind of send-off that reflects how much she meant to so many people. This includes cremation, the service venue, flowers, memorial cards, and a gathering where people can share their favourite memories of her.
If We Raise Beyond Our Goal:
Any funds raised above £5,000 will go toward:
• A memorial bench in Dunfermline in her honour
We want to install a bench in a meaningful place in Dunfermline. This would be somewhere meaningful to her and somewhere her loved ones and her community can sit, remember her, and feel her presence. The plaque will carry her name and a message that captures her spirit. It will be a permanent reminder that she was here, she mattered, and she changed lives.
• A donation to the British Lung Foundation in Agnes’s name
Grandma fought COPD bravely throughout her life. We want her L’egg’acy to extend beyond our family to help others facing the same battle. A donation to the British Lung Foundation will support research, care, and support for people fighting COPD, just as Agnes did.
• Support for our family during this difficult transition
Our household was built around Grandma. She was the centre, the heartbeat, the one who made our home a home. With her sudden passing, we face immediate and ongoing costs. Rent doesn’t pause for grief. Bills don’t stop. Food doesn’t become free. This fund will provide a safety net for the next few months, allowing us the time and mental space to grieve without panic.
Agnes proved that age has no limit. She built a community of over 3 million followers and showed the world that creativity and connection belong to everyone. Now we’re asking that community to help us honor her one final time with a dignified, beautiful funeral.
We Will Be Transparent: After each milestone, we’ll post an update with receipts and confirmations showing how the funds have been used. Your trust is precious to us, and we want you to know exactly where your generosity goes.
In time, when the grief is not so raw, our dream is to create something lasting in her name, an Epic Gamer Grandma Foundation or fund that supports older people getting into gaming, technology and raises awareness for COPD. We’re not there yet, and we don’t want to rush it or do it badly. For now, this fundraiser is simply to give Agnes the funeral she deserves and to help us through these first difficult months. If and when a foundation becomes real, we’ll be fully transparent and keep her community involved every step of the way.
