Hello everyone, my name is Jason.

I'm 32 years old and have been sober for almost 3 years. I grew up in Calgary Canada. I'm from a broken home that was constantly uprooted. I found myself suffering from anxiety and depression at an early age. I searched for ways to escape emotionally, which inevitably led me to drugs and alcohol. I was on my 2nd DUI and swore I would never drink again as I could have harmed myself or an innocent bystander. My disease had a hold on me. I was suffering from self hatred and my shame and depression hit an all time low. I fell to my knees and realized that I could either get help, kill myself or spend the rest of my life behind bars.

I decided to get sober and I was desperate enough to ask for help. It's been a tough road but a rewarding one. My life today is full of love, service and gratitude. I have first hand seen the power of sobriety and I am a walking miracle. Gainfully employed and being a positive part of my community.

I made a mistake in the days of my using that I am recovering from. I am asking for help to maintain my freedom so I may continue to help others and pay it forward. Anything helps. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I wish everyone a beautiful and blessed day.
