Vicki Capuano was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic  Cancer on October 26, 2015.  The shock of the diagnosis came unexpectedly.  Being 58 years  old, active, and healthy blinded doctors from considering her symptoms to have been caused by such a life threatening disease as Cancer. Vicki's Cancer has to be treated aggressively by specialists to contain and shrink the tumors in her pancreas and liver.  She began Chemotherapy at Sloan Kettering on November 2, 2015. Her biggest concern with this diagnosis was telling all her loved ones that she had Cancer.  

Altruistic is the best word to sum up Vicki's lifestyle and way of being. Whether she could help others with what money she had or even just to lend a hand or listening ear, Vicki is forever giving. She brightens the lives of everyone she meets with her amazing smile and true compassion for others.
