Our Dad, Michael Turner, is a loving husband of 33 years, Father to six children, and Grandpa to three grandchildren. Our Dad is a talented and hardworking carpenter who strives to provide a happy and holy home for his family. He is an active member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic community in Front Royal, Virginia. He dedicates much of his time and talents to those around him and is well-loved by all.
On September 5th, 2021 Dad went into cardiac arrest and experienced a heart attack. We were unaware of any heart disease prior to this incident. He was hospitalized for several days, had a stent placed in his heart, and was placed on many new medications. Thankfully, he is under the care of a wonderful cardiologist in Winchester, Virginia. Dad completed six weeks of cardiac rehabilitation and has been maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle.
On December 30th, 2021 Dad experienced some concerning chest pain and went into the local emergency room. The next morning, the cardiologist on-call did a procedure called a cardiac catheterization and detected further extensive damage. He is now scheduled for a bypass open-heart surgery this week to stabilize his heart.
Our family is unsure of how long it will be until Dad can go back to work. The estimated recovery time is twelve weeks if all goes smoothly. As a self-employed carpenter, he is the sole provider for our Mom, Deanna Turner, and our youngest brother, Mike Turner. All financial donations will go directly to our parents. These funds will cover their monthly bills.
Our family could use the support from the community we so dearly love while Dad endures the challenges that come from open heart surgery and the long recovery to come. We are hopeful that our Dad will make a full recovery. We place our trust in the Lord's goodness and mercy.
