On Friday October 4, 2019 my dads house burnt to the ground. This was the home I grew up in and he has lived there for literally as long as I can remember. Everything he owns was is in that house. Memories and trinkets from Grandpa and all of us kids as well are now gone. War medals are melted all his stuff is ash. 
He is 75 and substitute teaches when he can but otherwise is on a very limited income. He did not have insurance sadly and there this total loss is even more devastating. 
I am trying to raise money to get him started on his rebuild, get food, clothes and other essentials. If we are lucky maybe enough to fly him out here to spend a holiday with my family and his granddaughter.
