Hello everyone my name is Melissa, and my heart is heavy as I write this. Yes that’s my real name and this is no joke. Hurricane Melissa has completely destroyed my family’s home the place where my grandparents built our memories, shared laughter, and found comfort. In just a few moments, everything they worked so hard for was gone. Not only are my grandparents home demolished unfortunately I have a handful of family who are without at this moment. They are now struggling to rebuild their lives from the ground up, trying to find shelter, food, and basic supplies to get through each day. This experience has been devastating, but I’m holding onto hope that with the help of others, they can start over. Any donation, no matter how small, will go toward rebuilding our home, feeding my family, and helping them stand on our feet again. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this painful time.
