Eoghan Kelly Funraiser

Tom Dunphy came up with this idea and we are setting it up to help Eoghan.

Eoghan is one of the most generous and inspiring people you'll meet in the paddling community - a true ambassador of our sport and OC1 world champion. He's the kind of person who's always there for others, sharing his knowledge and passion for paddling.

What Happened

Driving back from world championships, Eoghan's van suddenly caught fire. He barely escaped, getting out with nothing but the shorts he was wearing. Everything else was lost to the flames.

This would be devastating enough on any normal trip, but Eoghan had been living and training in Plattling for the past month. His van contained everything he needed for both daily life and paddling - and it's all gone.

What Was Lost

All his training equipment and gear

Personal belongings and clothing

Everything needed for daily living while training away from home

Countless items with sentimental value that can never be replaced

The Gap We Need to Fill

While insurance will help, it won't cover everything. They'll only some of his boats, and there's a maximum limit on how much they'll pay per canoe. Some of Eoghan's boats cost significantly more than this limit.

Beyond the boats, there are hundreds of "little things" that add up - the daily essentials, training gear, and equipment that insurance won't cover but are crucial for getting back on the water and back to normal life.

We can't replace the irreplaceable memories and sentimental items, but we can help Eoghan rebuild. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward replacing what insurance won't cover.
