Help Repair the EOD Barbara Hut in Grafenwoehr, Germany!
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Experts are specially trained to deal with the construction, deployment, disarmament, and disposal of high explosive munitions and may include other types of ordnance such as nuclear, biological and chemical weapons along with improvised explosive devices (IED) and improvised nuclear devices (IND). The job of the EOD expert has been labeled as one of the most dangerous jobs in the world with the motto of initial success or total failure. The EOD experts that have paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting personnel and property of others are remembered and shared across the EOD community world wide making for a closely integrated and bond that is like no other.
The Barbara Hut in Grafenwoehr, Germany is a log cabin tucked away in the Bavarian forest which has been the location for years shared across the EOD community where blood, sweat, and tears have been shared. If you are/were an EOD expert in Bavaria, chances are you have been to the Barbara Hut. This is a location that EOD experts come together and share stories, unwind after missions, and remember our fallen. The German EOD (kampfmittelbeseitigung bundeswehr) has taken the responsibility of maintaining the upkeep of the Barbara Hut, and this has been a very expensive task, but across the EOD community we have come together to assist with minor expenses. Recently, the Barbara Hut failed inspection due to major fault in the huts electrical and the Barbara Hut is now at risk of being closed down. The repairs to bring the Barbara Hut to code is in the thousands of Euro which we just cannot afford. I'm asking for your help by donating any amount which 100% of your donation will go to repairing the Barbara Hut.
