We are knocking on your golden hearts to bless the De Guzman-Ong family in the Philippines as they experience a recent loss on Mother's Day 2024 , after their 9 mo-old baby succumbed to Leukemia ( ALL / Acute lymphocytic leukemia)

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is the most common childhood cancer. It occurs when a bone marrow cell develops errors in its DNA.

Symptoms may include enlarged lymph nodes, bruising, fever, bone pain, bleeding from the gums, and frequent infections.

Treatments may include chemotherapy or targeted drugs that specifically kill cancer cells

I have created this gofundme to bless our good friend Priscilla , or "Prenggay" to her close friend together with her loving husband, Mickey with financial relief during this difficult time.

As you may know, Baby "Enzo" first manifested all symptoms when he was 4 mos old, Prenggay , his mom, decided to request for a CBC count and pediatrician in the Philippines referred Enzo to a Hematology Pediatric Oncologist (Cancer doctor for kids specializing in blood disorder) . Baby Enzo was then asked to have a BMA ( Bone Marrow Aspirate) in Manila and was officially diagnose having Congenital Leukemia -ALL.

Enzo had severe Covid, amoebiasis, worse case scenario: Pneumonia and had allergic reaction to a certain chemo drug and was placed in ICU .

To a mother's heart ache ...baby ENzo had a platelet count of " 4" and a WBC or white count of 0.8 . The exhausted parents have to endure weekly blood transfusion , with the cost of plane flights from their hometown in Bacolod City to Manila and back and fourth, medical bills, and worse is, to every parents' worse nightmare : planning for their child's funeral eventually. They don't want any parents to undergo to this same situation. It is every mother's worse nightmare . The mother of Enzo will forever remember their angel every mother's day .

To add to every mother's day unexpected memory Baby Enzo passed away last May 12, 2024, on Mother's day (Philippine time) .

With the cost of medical supplies, and a low source of income in the Philippines, our friends Preng and Mickey , needs your help as they recover both financially and emotionally .

What makes it worse is, their eldest child , 6 yo Yuan, has Type 1 Diabetes and needs frequent pricking of finger to check his blood sugar regularly to make sure it is within the range.

Prenggay , as a mother, is a talented baker, a former nurse , fulltime hands on mother , visual artist who loves to paint , and a crafty person, who did all means to raise funds for her loving sons but apparently , faith takes its toll .

Mickey , on the other hand, is a hardworking nurse , breadwinner and a supportive father of 2 , now facing reality that he has to bury his youngest son and try to be strong for his family.
