Hello everyone, on the afternoon of October 7th, our whole world was rocked and the worst thing we could've imagined happened to our family. Expecting to welcome our second baby in the next couple of weeks, we rushed to the hospital with concern from the lack of movement in Jillian's belly. When we got there, we found out our perfectly healthy boy's heart had stopped. This was an absolute shock to us and the doctors. For the entirety of this pregnancy, everything was going well with no true concern. The doctors couldn't explain why this happened, which left us to question, "Why would this happen to a perfectly healthy baby boy?" Our family is hurting because we lost our son, and GioLucca lost his little brother. With this came a bunch of things that we'd never thought about or could imagine thinking about. We've never thought about burying our boy. Why would we think about the cost of funerals and memorials? Unfortunately, that is our reality right now. We gave him the name Enzo Lael Messias. Enzo means victory and Lael means belonging to God. Our beautiful boy is now experiencing the greatest victory. He isn't feeling pain, he isn't crying, and he is in complete peace. He is with Jesus, belonging to Him for all of eternity. Though we are hurting and wish he was in our hands, he is now in the hands of our Lord and Savior. We just ask that you would help our family at this time. If you feel led towards honoring his life by giving to our funeral and burial fund, we would be so appreciative and blessed by this. We have already felt so much love from family and friends, so please do not feel obligated to give. If you can't give financially, please just be praying for our family as we continue to hurt and mourn together. Thank you.
