To Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers
It is with profound grief that we mourn the sudden loss of Enzo Garcia, a beloved brother, son, nephew, cousin and friend at the age of 23. On the 29th of December, he was suddenly taken from us when he was tragically swept away by a rogue current in La Union, Philippines. His body was recovered after a heart shattering twelve hours. Many thanks to the search and rescue response from all the local Barangay, officials and volunteers.
Enzo was young and full of vitality, the beating heart of his family unit. He was a pillar of strength to all his relatives and friends, never shying from conflict nor burden; after his family endured unimaginable grief at the loss of his father he rose to the occasion in a profound display of love and support to his mother, Kit, and sister, Raine. Enzo was just weeks from his college graduation, full of promise, and hoped to support his family through pursuing a future in his passion for new media and marketing. His career would have incorporated his love and natural talent for dancing and wrestling, which we have no doubt he would have made happen.
Above all, Enzo was a child of God. He will be remembered by most for his faith and service to the Church, which ranged from youth ministry to security.
Without Enzo, Kit is confronted with the greatest possible tragedy a parent could experience. She was not given a day to cope with her unimaginable loss, but is now forced to burden the costs of funeral expenses, memorial services, and to continue to support Raine and herself. We established this GoFundMe to alleviate what we can from their burden.
Any contributions will go exclusively toward:
Funeral and burial arrangements
Memorial service to honor Enzo
Support for Kit and Raine's immediate needs, such as counseling and daily expenses to navigate this period of mourning.
Any amount will bring us closer to bringing a dignified farewell that he deserves. If you are unable to donate, please share this campaign as any support will mean the world to us.
Thank you for the bottom of our hearts for standing with Kit and Raine.
