Enya Maturino Silva

Hello everyone! I am fundraising for my cousin, before I get into what we’re fundraising for I wanna tell you a small part of her story. My cousin Enya is a 19 year old girl from Durango, Mexico. She was born blind, with spine and leg deformaties that have affected her life. Defying all the odds Enya learned to walk and navigate herself through her life. She worked hard graduated high school not too long ago and has began her studies in communications at a local university. She is a smart and capable young women who brings joy to anyone who interacts with her. Although she is very capable Enya needs a surgery to fix the 50 degree bend in her spine. The scoliosis she suffers from has unfortunately caused many problems with her motor skills and makes it hard for her to walk. My family recently started raising money and are doing many events to raise the funds needed. However the surgery is quite expensive coming up to about $25000 in US dollars.
