On March 5th of 2024, Travis' wife Melissa (of over 22 years) suffered a stroke and bilateral brain bleed. Melissa was promptly care-flighted to Harris Methodist Hospital downtown Fort Worth, where they began testing to evaluate the severity of the situation. On March 28th, Melissa was moved to West Side Campus of Care where she is receiving physical, occupational and speech therapy weekly.

Melissa has improved greatly since March 5th, but still has a long road ahead. Melissa is still on a feeding tube, is unable to sit up or stand on her own and does not yet have full usage of her hands.

Travis is now the sole provider for their family. He has filed for disability for Melissa as well as medicaid to cover some of the mounting costs of care but it is a lengthy wait for approval. The cost of therapy alone is over $300 weekly, not to mention the cost of traveling 30 minutes each way to visit Melissa.

Travis continues to work each day, serves weekly at the Cindy Ramsey Center (food pantry) and during Sunday services at the Met Church. Travis has a HUGE heart to serve others, even during this trying time. His faith is extremely strong and he is so grateful for everyone's prayers and support. Please be in prayer for Melissa and her continued healing and thank you for your help!
