Megan's Medical Journey
Donation protected
Back in January my wife Megan had 9 Grand Mal Seizures within three hours, the ambulance were called. Once Megan got to the ER and had an MRI done, it was determined she had a golfball size tumor on her brain, Megan was kept overnight until discharged two days later. Once she was discharged we scheduled her surgery at the U for April 5th, in the mean time she was put on medication to help with her seizures. On April 5th her surgery was a success and Megan stayed for 4 days post surgery, they were able to get the whole tumor. A week after surgery we received a call from the Huntsman Center and they had informed us that her tumor was stage three Astrocytoma, possibly stage four. She has an appointment in May to get an MRI to see if there is any more growth and how she's healing, and to speak with the oncologist for future treatment. It's a heavy heart writing this not only because I want to keep my wife protected and safe but also we have two children under the age of 5. I'm currently working two jobs, while Megan is unable to work or drive.
