Supporting Alex
Donation protected
As many of you may know, Alex MacKay developed a serious life-threatening infection about four weeks ago.
Her infection has since turned septic and she was transferred to Duke. Alex has had multiple complications due to this infection and on Monday she went into surgery for a brain bleed as a result of a Pulmonary Embolizm. She continues to be in ICU and on Life Support.
This has come as a complete shock to the MacKay family and they have spent every moment in the hospital with Alex since she was admitted.
Alex is a young, vibrant and sweet 16-year-old who loves her family and friends dearly.
The best thing we can do is rally around this family in their time of need. Feel free to share this message around, and if you can’t donate, perhaps just say a prayer for the MacKay family during this unimaginable time.
Chris and Teresa want to let everyone know how much they appreciate all the support and prayers that have been sent their way.
