It is time for re-evaluation and creation of a new vision for the future. Tom Berry, Managing Director for the past seven years has expressed the desire to pass the School into new hands. It is also his goal to transition Body Electric into a non-profit organization that will permit community direction, volunteerism, and funding. In this process it is our desire and essential that we gather the input of our broader community.
To that end, Easton Mountain has offered to host a visioning and ‘structuring’ gathering the last weekend of April 2018. We have put together a representative list of Body Electric elders, faculty, area coordinators, participants and other thought leaders drawn from the gay men’s, women’s and diverse communities that Body Electric has come to serve.
But we are calling on you to help make this possible – even if our workshop invitees make their own travel arrangements on points or donate their expenses, there are significant costs in accommodation, meals and facilitation.
We are asking you to make a donation through the Easton Mountain Foundation, a 501C3 organization, to help us to defray the costs of this vital exercise in planning the future of Body Electric. The budget for this meeting is $15,000. If you have the ability to make a significant donation to make this meeting occur, please contact us. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
Funds will be collected through GoFundMe. All donations will be acknowledged by Easton Mountain for tax purposes.
Your contribution in any amount is greatly appreciated.
