For over 25 years, as a fiercely unaffiliated independent rural commentator
, I've sought common ground around scientific, emotional and ideological environmental issues.
Letters to The Times
, pithy vlogs
, time-hungry book reviews, updating my science page
, contributing to conferences/seminars - all seeking to help stimulate different ways to think about and act on environmental matters during particularly partisan, ideology-driven times.
I have now discovered my role, my forte, as an Environmental Dialogue Broker
. However, gaining traction will take time, especially when well-defined positional adversity seems more comfortable than putting value-judgements to one side to collaborate on pragmatic common-purpose partnerships.
Any contribution towards my ongoing groundwork is much appreciated; thank you.
