Hi! We’re Gareth and Tina, and we’re putting on a book festival centred around an environmental philosophy about re-discovering our place in nature. It’s a celebration of wondering at the real things around and within us, an antidote to cynicism and narrowness. For more information about this philosophy, please visit https://www.sta-website.com/
We already have a great line-up of speakers, talks, walks and workshops planned, as well as an amazing venue sorted!
Date: Saturday 19th - Sunday 20th September 2026
Address: RISE, Whittox Lane, Frome BA11 3BY
While we will be selling tickets for the events, we also need to fundraise to cover start-up costs, to keep this running yearly. If you’re unable to donate financially, we’d also be happy to facilitate alternative donations such as:
- volunteer some of your time by working as stewards for Nature Walks or with the events
- offer a spare room for Authors to stay at within/near Frome during the festival weekend
- provide any skills or experience you may have that could help us! Please contact us if you’re interested in this!
Consideration of the environment and the beautiful life that surrounds us is unfortunately not a current dominant practice. We hope this festival will encourage more care and thoughtfulness not only towards nature, but also towards ourselves as human beings that are intrinsic and fundamental to the ecosystems of our planet.
With your help, we can make this reality :)
