hi, my name is Tom Martin and I’m running a half marathon in the Brecon Beacons. With over 2000ft of climbing and the longest run I’ve ever done it will certainly be a challenge. However I’m doing it for epilepsy, for someone who has seen this first hand epilepsy is a horrible disability. My sister. Emily, who is 22 suffers from this and has done since the age of 15. When I found her having a seizure on her birthday. This was the start of something we would never of expected. Ever since she has had more seizures in some cases with her breathing being stopped. I want to a raise awareness for this. It’s something where the more research we can do the more likely it is that the seizures and epilepsy can be a lot less of a threat.
