**Help a Family in Crisis: Caring for My Partner with Cancer & Struggling to Survive**

Hello friends,

My name is Heidi and I am reaching out during the most difficult time of my life. I am currently living in Portugal, where I am the sole caretaker for my beloved partner, who is bravely fighting pancreatic cancer. Every day is a struggle as he battles this devastating illness, and I do everything I can to keep him comfortable and cared for.

Unfortunately, both of us are very sick, and I often feel overwhelmed trying to manage everything alone. Our situation has become even more challenging because there are no jobs available here, and we have lost access to electricity. I cook for my partner’s special dietary needs using only a small 3-liter camping gas can. Despite these hardships, I am determined to provide the best care possible.

On top of this, I am divorced, and my two sons live in an institution because their father is undergoing treatment for drug abuse. During my own treatment for mental health, my ex-husband divorced me and transferred all our assets to his brother’s name, leaving me with nothing. I see my children every other weekend, but it breaks my heart that I cannot give them the stability they deserve.

I am doing everything I can—cleaning, caring, and fighting for my family—but I am exhausted and running out of resources. If you are able to help, your kindness would mean the world to us.
