Entandweni Afterschool, New Floor and Safe

Welcome to the fundraiser for Entandweni Development Centre, a place for children to go in the afternoon in Bathurst, South Africa.

 

The school has three employees and almost 70 children. During the week the staff is doing their best to provide a secure and comfortable place for the kids. For some children it is a safe place away from violence or abuse.

Entandweni supports children in many ways: From teaching them about their rights to educating about life skills. From help with homework to supporting their creative sides.

 

Entandweni afterschool is free of charge. But they rely on donations as they get no governmental support. They are facing two major problems currently: an old floor and the lack of a safe.

 

Our goal: To buy a safe to lock away their valuables. To build a new and proper floor, that is healthier for the kids and could help the school to get certified by the government.
