A Story of Stability and Moving Forward
I never imagined I would be asking for help with something as fundamental as securing my legal status in the country I’ve built my life in. Still, I’m choosing transparency and community over silence.
The United States has been my home for many years. It’s where I’ve raised my children, built businesses, supported community and nonprofit work, and contributed creatively and professionally in ways that matter deeply to me. My family, work, and roots are here.
Over the last few years, I’ve navigated major life transitions alongside financial strain, all while working to remain in full legal standing. Immigration is not just paperwork; it’s time-sensitive, emotionally heavy, and expensive when done responsibly.
To move forward safely and lawfully, I need help covering:
• $14,500 for immigration attorney fees
• $2,300 in government application fees
• $1,500 in required filing and processing costs
Total needed: $18,300
These costs ensure my case is handled properly, allowing me to live, work, and parent without fear or disruption.
This process protects more than just me; it protects my children and our family. My kids deserve stability, presence, and the reassurance that their parent is secure and available. Their moms and our extended family deserve clarity and peace of mind, free from the stress that legal uncertainty creates. Resolving this allows us to plan, travel, and co-parent responsibly, focusing on what matters most: raising grounded, supported children.
Asking for help doesn’t come easily. I’ve spent much of my life supporting others through community work and care. This moment is about allowing myself to receive that same support so I can take responsibility, not avoid it.
If you’re able to donate, share, or hold us in your thoughts, it means more than I can express. Every contribution brings us closer to legal stability, continuity, and peace of mind.
With gratitude,
Ale.
