Dear co-op members and Leverett community:
When I think about Leverett, I think about the co-op, and how it has served as a vibrant community space for so long. The co-op is more than a grocery store: it's a meeting place, an art gallery, a coffee shop, an event space, a pizza restaurant, a wine shop, a stage for local musicians, a volunteer opportunity, a heartwarming collection of friends and neighbors.
The co-op has hung on through many trials, thanks to hard work and generosity from staff, the board, our members, and you: our community. We made it through the worst years of the pandemic, but not unscathed. Prices have risen precipitously for the goods we work to provide for you. Labor costs have increased.
We realize that our business model from past years will not carry us through a pandemic-affected world, and that we need to make major operational changes to ensure that we are a sustainable business. We need time to be able to make those changes. Your donation will help us buy the time we need to make the co-op a viable organization for the future!
The co-op has been an essential part of Leverett for years and years and we want to be there with you in the coming years.
If GoFundMe is not your preferred way of donation, we are always accepting cash donations and checks at our register.
