My name is Ray Crump, and I am raising funds to help my daughter and me through these rough times that we are currently going through.

I was in a 19-year marriage where my ex-wife would mentally and physically harm myself and my daughter daily. This was causing emotional damage to our daughter and was mentally killing me. My ex-wife was eventually arrested for aggravated assault with a knife because she was trying to cause bodily harm to me.

I put up with physical abuse for many years because I wanted to make sure that our daughter was raised by both parents. I feel like that is so important for a child to have both parents in their life. I would do anything for my daughter, so I felt that I would try and make the marriage work no matter what, even after she tried to stab me.

After that, I realized that I had to get out of the marriage because my high school wife—whom I loved and would do anything for—was willing to kill me. It gave me the courage to finally get myself out of the abusive marriage.

I spent my life savings on attorney fees to make sure that my daughter and I were safe. Unfortunately, my daughter is still living through it because her mother is still refusing to let her see me.

I am raising money to make sure that my daughter is safe too. I need the help because I have to hire another attorney and go back to trial. The trial is going to cost $12,500 a day and will possibly be two days.

The donations will help with paying for the attorney and getting equal custody of our daughter. The most important part is that my daughter gets to spend time with a safe, loving parent and will get to be in an environment where she will feel unconditionally loved again.

I have never asked anyone for help, but I feel like I have nowhere else to turn. I really need help, and I feel cornered, and I can't stand to think that I will never get custody of my daughter again. Please help. I really want my daughter to feel the love that she deserves and to feel like she can have peace in her life again.
