We have an emergency need for funds to help a young girl that will arrive in the US tomorrow without a place to live. For the last 10 years, I have been traveling to Nepal to spend time with young people and families who have been affected by human trafficking. Out of tragedies, we sometimes have stories of redemption and hope. I am raising money for Rakshya. She is traveling to the US to attend UMASS Dartmouth. She had a big dream to study and get educated in the US so she can one day return to her country and give hope to others that come from a similar background as hers. She has received scholarship money to pay for her tuition and books but does not have the funds for housing. Because of the language barrier and lack of adequate internet there has been some miscommunication about on campus housing. We would like to raise enough money to get Rakshya into the dorms with a meal plan so she will be safe while she studies so far from home and will not have the stress and worry of being without a safe home. Her plan is to spend the summer working so she will have enough money to pay for her housing next semester. She is a very smart girl and given the right environment she will have a chance of changing the course of he life. Anything you give would be greatly appreciated by Rakshya.
