Help Us Give David the Dementia Care He Deserves
Hi, my name is Abby, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dad, David—a man who has spent his life healing others, and who now needs help himself.
My dad has always had a gentle soul, a passion for helping others, and a creative spirit. As a massage therapist and acupuncturist, he dedicated his life to easing people’s pain, restoring their balance, and lifting their spirits. As an artist, he made paintings of loved ones and shared his life experiences through art.
A few years ago, my dad was diagnosed with dementia. I kept him at home as long as I could, but when the care got to be more than I could handle on my own, the tough decision to put him in memory care was made.
Memory care is not just about safety—it’s about dignity. It offers him stability, expert attention, and a loving environment where he can live with comfort and grace. But as many families know, this kind of care is incredibly expensive—and beyond what I can manage alone as his sole family responsible for his care. I am quickly running out of the funds he had and need help to continue to care for him.
That’s why we’re turning to our community, our friends, and kind-hearted strangers for help.
If my dad has ever made you feel better, inspired you, or reminded you of someone you love, please consider making a donation. Every contribution—big or small—goes directly toward ensuring he receives the care he desperately needs and deserves.
And if you're not in a place to give right now, I understand—sharing this page means the world to us, too.
Thank you for reading our story, for keeping my dad, David, in your thoughts, and for helping us honor the beautiful life he’s lived with the care and compassion he’s given so freely to others.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Abby
