My mom, Pat Tucker, was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma, a terminal brain cancer. After spending three weeks at Dartmouth Hitchcock, she has now been moved to hospice care in Concord, NH. We feel fortunate to have secured a spot at this facility, known for its compassionate care and family-oriented environment. The nurses are wonderful, and the rooms are spacious, allowing family members to stay overnight.

However, there is a challenge. According to hospice policy, my mom is not yet considered sick enough for Medicare coverage, which means the cost of her room and board is $475 per day. This financial burden is difficult for us to manage during such an emotional time.
