Ensure Nemo and Abu's Health and Happiness

Hi, my name is Sami and I usually would never ask for help unless I felt it was really needed. I'm a full-time college student, so my schedule is too full for a job. I also live in a pretty small town, so the jobs are usually always filled. I'm living off the funds I get from my school's Pell grants.

One of my birds, Nemo, was born with deformed feet, which makes him a bit different from most birds. He’s such a sweet soul, but because of his disability, he requires regular vet check-ups to make sure he’s staying healthy and comfortable. I was able to afford a checkup, but the vet noticed that he is sickly and requested I do blood work. Unfortunately, the cost of all the exams for him is $700. I want to make sure he gets the care he needs to live his best life, but it’s been a struggle to keep up with the expenses.

My other bird, Abu, also needs medical care. Even though he doesn’t have any disabilities, at his last checkup, the vet noticed his heart rate being extremely slow. (85 beats per minute) and recommended I do multiple exams for him aswell, which is an additional $700. I want to make sure both of my birds are happy and thriving. They’re my little family, and I can’t bear the thought of them being in discomfort or not getting the care they deserve.
