sweet Milo recently had a scare. What started as a trip to the emergency vet for a simple raw spot on his tail turned into a much more serious discovery: he has a heart murmur and potential heart disease.

This has opened up a whole new world of unexpected medical expenses. Milo desperately needs to see a veterinary cardiologist, and the initial consultation is estimated to cost between $900 and $1500. Beyond that, he's now on a specialized prescription food and a new flea allergy medication to manage his conditions, adding to the mounting bills.
