Ensure Comfort for Kathy in Her Final Days
Donation protected
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Kathy Kroenung, you know what an amazing woman she is. She is a selfless, caring, cottage-decor-loving, full blooded Italian woman, known for her loud opinions, but even louder love for her friends and family. She devoted her professional life to Special Needs education, and home care therapy for children. But her family were her true life’s passion. Her husband, Mark, daughter Ashlee, son Zach, and her grandchildren - Kylie, Luke, Jack, Jude, Elliot and Myla - are her whole world.
Kathy recently got an unthinkable diagnosis of Stage Four Pancreatic Cancer, that has metastisized to her liver and lungs, after 2 years of confounding health issues. The doctors missed this horrible, and fast acting, disease, as this type of cancer is very sneaky.
Unfortunately, Kathy was too weak to pursue chemotherapy or other cancer treatments, and with the support of her doctor, has begun hospice care. At first, they believed she may have around 6 moths, but now fear it may only be weeks. She has been placed in a hospice home to receive the support she needs through the remainder of her days here on earth.
It is Kathy’s wish to remain at the hospice house, as to not burden her family with end of life care at home. However, the stay is not covered long term, and she will begin being charged $500 per day as of today.
The family is in great need of financial support at this time to see Kathy through her final days in the hospice home, where she will be surrounded not only by her family, but also the necessary nurse care and assistance she and Mark need. We ask to please consider giving what you can for Kathy, as she has given so much to us all throughout her life. It’s time we give back to the woman who always put everyone else first.
We all love you Kathy, and may your final days be unburdened, and filled with love and peace. You deserve it.
