Just a month ago, disaster struck when our area received 10 inches of rain, causing severe flooding in our home. Within 24 hours of the flooding, she developed a serious lung infection – a dangerous complication for someone already battling lung cancer.

We had to act quickly to get her out of the damp, potentially mold-filled environment. In what felt like both a crisis and a blessing, we found a wonderful independent living facility in Shawnee, Oklahoma. This clean, well-maintained space has made a world of difference in her condition. Since moving there, her health has noticeably improved, her spirits have lifted, and she's experiencing a better quality of life during this precious time.

The facility costs $3,700 per month, which includes a clean environment, proper care, and peace of mind knowing she's in a safe place. My sister Alanna, my pops Alan, my wife Jessica, and I have all been helping and giving our all to cover these costs, but we've now exhausted our savings. Without immediate financial help, my mother will have to leave this healing environment in just one week.
