Ensure a Devoted Cook's Service to The Dharma

Many of you who have known me over the years understand that I was probably put on this planet to cook for the Great Spiritual Teachers

From the time I was little more than a teenager this has been my greatest aspiration and my greatest joy. My practice path has been devotional and has centered around caring for many of the Great Spiritual Teachers of our time, tending to their needs especially providing delicious food, no matter what the dietary and health requirements for each teacher. This has certainly been a great blessing in this lifetime.

The necessities of livelihood have intervened to limit my involvement in the past bunch of years, but I’ve never given up and have managed to spend small amounts of time here and there cooking for the 17th Karmapa, , Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso and most recently Rabjam Rinpoche, to mention a few.

Now I’ve been offered a most extraordinary opportunity. I’ve been invited to help cook at a Dharma Center in Europe for a 2 month period beginning in a few weeks, for a series of visiting Tibetan Teachers, some of whom I’ve already made a connection with and some of whom I will meet for the first time. The center is generously helping me with some of my travel expenses and my accommodations. The remaining challenges are logistics and finances around making sure my house and my dog are cared for bills paid for when I’m away.

Friends have suggested that I start a Go Fund Me page and that is what I’m introducing here .Ive never asked anyone for much of anything in my life. Now is the Time

The Dharma Center says they need me.. with out financial assistance I cant possibly manifest this and I would accrue serious debt to the tune of.. minimum $10,000 to go to help them.

That would be terribly irresponsible of me on many levels

The expenses in doing this is very costly just the flight is apx $2500+ ,expenses at home in New Mexico maintaining my house and dog and loss of income while in France is alot

So...If you could chip in toward this, it would be fantastically helpful.

The funds raised will go directly towards covering the remaining expenses for this trip, including travel costs, care for my home and dog while I’m away, and other logistical needs.

If there are any remaining funds at the end of my stay I will donate the money to the Dharma Center or Teachers .
