Bonjour à vous,

C'est avec le cœur gros que nous revenons d'un voyage au Kenya, laissant derrière nous une merveilleuse petite fille d'un an, née avec une fente labiale importante, par conséquent souffrant d'une malnutrition sévère. Clara, grandit dans un petit village a Mombosa avec sa mère Tatu et ses deux frères entourés d'une famille aimante mais malheureusement, malgré eux dans des conditions extrêmement difficiles.

Dès notre retour au Québec, nous avons débuté des démarches pour lui obtenir une opération. Avec l'aide de Janet, une travailleuse sociale d'origine kenyane , nous avons convenu que la meilleure option pour elle était qu'elle soit vue par un chirurgien a l'hôpital de Kijabe a environ 560 km de chez elle. Ensemble nous avons organisé le transport et l'hébergement pour la petite Clara et sa mère. Le 14 décembre 2024, Clara a subi sa 1 ère opération qui consistait à refermer lèvre et narine.

Elle demeure toujours a l'hôpital due à une infection et a son faible poids de 5.7 kg, des suppléments et du lait thérapeutique lui ont été prescrit. Le 13 janvier 2025, elle devra subir une 2 ième opération qui consistera a refermer son palais. Jusqu'à présent nous avons assumé les frais.

Aujourd'hui, nous avons décidé de lance cette collecte de fonds afin de nous a aider a faire face aux frais liés à son hospitalisation prolongée, aux traitements médicaux et pour sa deuxième opération en janvier.

Le bien être de cette petite et sa famille nous tient vraiment a cœur, c'est pourquoi nous voudrions aussi lui permettre de revenir dans un endroit plus convenable, en faisant l'achat de matelas, de couvertures. de vêtements, de nourriture, etc... et de certains matériaux pour améliorer leur demeure.

Nous faisons donc appel à votre générosité. Chaque don si petit soit-il peut faire une grande différence dans la vie de la petite Clara et sa famille.

It is with heavy hearts that we return from a trip to Kenya, leaving behind a wonderful one-year-old girl, born with a significant cleft lip, consequently suffering from severe malnutrition. Clara, grew up in a small village in Mombosa with her mother and two brothers surrounded by a loving family but unfortunately, in spite of themselves in extremely difficult conditions.

As soon as we returned to Quebec, we began the process of getting him an operation. With the help of Janet, a Kenyan-born social worker, we agreed that the best option for her was for her to be seen by a surgeon at Kijabe Hospital, about 560 km from her home. Together we organized transportation and accommodation for little Clara and her mother Tatu. On December 14, 2024, Clara underwent her 1st operation which consisted of closing her lip and nostril.

She still remains in the hospital due to an infection and her low weight of 5.7 k, supplements, and therapeutic milk were prescribed. On January 13, 2025, she will have to undergo a 2nd operation which will consist of closing her palate. So far we have assumed the costs.

Today, we have decided to launch this fundraiser to help us with the costs of his extended hospitalization, medical treatments and for his second operation in January.

The well-being of this little girl and her family is really important to us, which is why we would also like to allow her to come back to a more suitable place, by buying mattresses and blankets. clothes, food, etc... and certain materials to improve their home.
