Enrollment Fee & Tuition for Rice University

Hello, my name is Nicholas Ortiz.

I am a senior at KIPP East End High School with the dream of becoming the founder and CEO of my own business someday. To me, every dream begins with education, which is why I applied Early Decision I to my dream school: Rice University. I’m thrilled to share that I was accepted to the best school in Texas and am on track to join the Class of 2029.

However, to officially secure my spot, Rice requires an enrollment deposit of $500—an amount that presents a significant challenge for my family and me at this time.

Over the past four years, I’ve worked tirelessly to reach this point. I’ve maintained a 4.424 GPA while serving as Class President and Student Council President, a band member, National Honors Society member, and president for my school’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter for nearly all four years of high school. These experiences have shaped my leadership skills and deepened my passion for making a positive impact on my community.

Unfortunately, financial barriers often stand in the way of big dreams like mine. But I believe in the power of persistence and community support. That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your help. Any contribution, big or small, would bring me one step closer to achieving my educational goals.
