On November 29th, our brother and friend, Enrique Carriedo, had a life threatening stroke due to blood vessels rupturing and causing bleeding inside his brain.

He was placed in a medically induced coma and remains intubated as he is unable to breath on his own. At the moment, doctors are focused on getting him off his breathing tube and sedation to further assess the extent of any temporary or permanent cognitive and physical mobility damage.

He is currently stable after being in critical condition, and is showing signs of life. We are praying for Enrique’s condition to continue improving so he can begin his road to recovery. Due to where the bleeding in his brain is, it is anticipated that he will require extensive rehab and therapy. Unfortunately, he has not yet shown movement on his left side.

We have created this crowdfunding to help Enrique and his family pay for the current medical expenses being incurred after this unexpected event. There is lack of insurance coverage to assist. His current in-hospital expenses include: doctor and specialist evaluations, ICU services, diagnostics and other hospital fees. Once he can be discharged, he will require rehab and therapy as well as possible home health care.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help cover part of the total estimated cost. We know this is a a lot to ask, especially during these difficult times. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Lastly, we ask that you please keep our Enrique in your prayers. We are praying that he continues improving and is able to make a full recovery.

Enrique turned 37 years old in August and has much more life to live. He is loved by his family, friends and co-workers.

Enrique’s sister and cousin are organizing this fundraiser for him, and acting as the beneficiary on behalf of Enrique while he is currently incapacitated.
