Enrique Arredondo's Heart Surgery

Hello everyone, my name is Enrique Arredondo and currently trying to raise funds for my father, Enrique Arredondo, who is a mathematics professor at a community college. We are from the Rio Grande Valley and my father was experiencing health issues that degenerated quickly. He was found to have an aortic dissection that needed emergent transportation by airplane from Mcallen to Houston Methodist. It was at Houston Methodist where he was diagnosed with a Type B aortic dissection and an aortic root dilation. He received a 10-hour surgery where they inserted a graft to replace the root of the aortic valve, replaced the aortic valve with a tissue graft, and was found to have a hole in the atrium septum wall that was also repaired. The major surgery happened on his birthday, which we did not expect at all. My family and I are devastated but happy that the surgery went well. We are looking for ways to assist my father in his recovery process and hope to lessen the medical and transport expenses burden.
