Enoch family fire
Yesterday, my family lost their home to a fire. An electrical outlet caught the front porch on fire of my childhood home. My family woke up because the door bell kept going off. When my family woke up out of their sleep to see why someone was ringing the door bell, they saw the porch on fire. They quickly ran upstairs to get my niece and nephew and get them out. There was an explosion while they were trying to get out. My mom got lost in the flaming house and an explosion threw her to the floor. My sisters husband and my brother ran in after her and found her on the dinning room floor. My brother was transported to the hospital with breathing issues from the smoke and minor burns. The 2 family dogs didn't make it. My family stood outside in their underwear and pjs and the neighborhood quickly came to their aid with clothes, coffee, shoes, and shoulders to cry on. I am forever thankful for our Hope Loop neighbors who helped my family.
I also want to add a little history about my family and this house. 30 years ago, my family lived in a homeless shelter. My dad had just been in a motorcycle accident that left severe injuries and my mom just gave birth to me. You will never meet harder working people then my parents. Less then 7 years later, my parents had crawled out of poverty and purchased this house. This is my childhood home. I grew up here with my parents (Ricky and Deborah), brother (Shane), and Sisters Jennifer and Amanda. There are so many memories in this house. My parents used to host Christmas parties, my siblings and I had sleep overs with our friends, we had Birthday parties, my parents got married in this house, and my dad died in this house.
On July 8th I watched my mom cry as she watched her American dream go up in flames. I watched her fall to the ground when the fire fighters told her that my dad and sisters urns couldn't be found. The inspector was able to find my dad's urn in the living room later that day. It was complete burned and fell apart as soon as it was in my hands. He let us enter the house and we started looking for my sister and any family momentous. We were able to locate my sister and grand parents urns and a hand full of half burned pictures.
I am honestly at a loss as how my mother could be continuously put through so much and still be walking around living life. This women lost her daughter 9 years ago, husband 2 years ago, and now her home full of everything she worked her butt off for.
This go fund me is to provide my mom with enough money to go buy clothes, shoes, and basic house hold items so she can start all over. My mom has lived a hard life and will never ask for anything. I, as her daughter, am asking for help for her.
If anyone has doubts that family members watch over us after they passed away, remember that the door bell is what saved my entire family from dying in this fire. That door bell continuously went off minutes before the house exploded. If the door bell hadn't rang, I would be planning 6 funerals today instead of setting up a go fund me. Please donate to my mom and it will so be disbursed between her, my sisters little family and my brother.
