ENMESHED is a drama in following James, a teenager in his final year of high school, who finds himself stuffed into the boot of a car instead of at school. Lara, his schizophrenic mother, fears that James is being assaulted by his teachers and plans to get him away from them by kidnapping him.

On their forced road trip, James pretends to believe his mother's delusions to get into the driver's seat. However, the longer he goes along with her plan, the more disconnected from reality she becomes. When he finally gets a moment alone at a petrol station, he must decide whether to call an ambulance against her will or continue to follow his mother's plan
