Hello! My name is Emily and I'm from Franklin Lakes, NJ. I moved to Israel in January to volunteer at an elementary school in Netanya through a Masa progam.
Since arriving here, I discovered that there was a lack of English books and supplies. We are thrilled to announce our English Supplies Fundraiser, raising money for elementary schools in Netanya. Our primary goal is to implement an "English Corner" within the library and fill it with English books and games. Additionally, we are raising funds for art supplies and sports equipment. Our main focus is the Dvora Omer School Library, but we are eager to extend this initiative to Naomi Shemer School & Ilan Ramon School.
Due to the war, it's important to us to create a small safe haven for the children and something positive for them to focus on. They're constantly on high alert because of the sirens, so it's a priority for us to create a sense of normalcy for them. We feel we can accomplish these goals alongside improving their English.
I'm excited to partner with Rabbi Chanoch in this venture and involve the chabad. My family and I have been going to the Chabad of NW Bergen County for almost 15 years. It has always been a special place to us. I knew that this community would be eager to make a difference in even the smallest corners of Israel, empowering Israeli kids in their day-to-day lives. These kids are eager to improve their English, which is why we need your help to bring this vision to life.
Any contribution, big or small, will go a long way.
תודה רבה
