English ESL tutor for Afghan refugees

Hi my name is Paloma McLardy, and I am looking for help in providing English lessons to refugees from Afghanistan. The entire money raise would be use to pay the tutor for 6 hours a week for 12 weeks for the six young men that we are helping.

 

Since they came to our home just before Thanksgiving, they have become part of our family. It has been a very intense time for all involved, but especially for them. I attempt to put myself in their shoes but I could never understand the breadth of their struggle and the depth of their loss.

 

They have only known violence and uncertainty. They have lost their country, families, friends, and homes to the Taliban. I am amazed at how resilient these men are. Amidst their heartbreak, they are still grateful for the opportunity to build a life in America for themselves and hopefully for their remaining loved ones. They need to build, they are ready and we want to help in any way we can and we need you!
