Hi,

I am Wil Baker currently finishing my Diploma in Sports Science and Coaching at Manchester College.

I have been playing lacrosse for 10 years now at Stockport Lacrosse Club after Chris Bland (ex England Captain) put a stick in my hand at a family BBQ, I have never looked back!!

It is an amazing sport to be involved in and having such supportive parents makes all the difference, as the journey to get selected has been exciting and hard in equal measure. But ultimately worth all the sacrifices.

I was part of the U20’s team that went to the European Championships in Wroclaw, Poland in 2024. It was an amazing experience to play for my country.

As there is currently a lack of National funding support for Lacrosse, the families have to fund the kit, travel, accommodation and training venues.

I am incredibly proud to have been selected to play on the U20’s team going to the lacrosse World Championships in South Korea this summer. The trip to Jeju Island will cost approximately £4500, so any support/donations would be very much appreciated.
