Our ENGINE has BLOWN UP!

We are currently half way through our WORLD RECORD breaking adventure to be the first people to travel in a Reliant Robin from London to Cape Town.

You may have seen us online where we have amassed a decent sized following or on the BBC who are following our journey.

WE NEED HELP!

We are now stuck in Cameroon due to our engine blowing up on the way to the Congo. This has put the trip in serious jeopardy & although we budgeted for breakdowns this engine is a bit of a stretch too far for us two.

Overwhelmed with support from our followers to continue, we feel this gofundme may be the only way to keep the record alive. While at the same time giving back to our supporters, as you’ll see below.

Where does the money go?

We have sourced a new engine for just under £1000, but the real cost is in the shipping which can be between £500-900 & then on top of that the absurd Cameroonian customs fees of up to £1600. We would also need to hire a customs agent & in that time get new visas for the Congo.
