My name is Henry Ward and I am a recovering alcoholic and addict.  I finally went to treatment in November 2008 which ultimately saved my life.  In May of 2013,  I found running which has been my maintenance plan for staying sober and helps me live life on life's terms.  Exercise in general really helps.  I want to give back and help others. My friend TJ Gardner and myself started a running group recently called Endurance Over Addiction.  We want to give back and help those who are struggling with any addiction, mental health issue, eating disorder show them  that running and fitness works.  It works for us and many others and it will work for them too. We decided to start raising money and creating a revolving fund to help runners in our community who are struggling with addiction, depression, and other disorders get the help they need.  100% of all funds go directly to getting people treatment or items they need.   We will physically go and pay for some or all of treatments depending on funds available, and cost of treatments.  Some funds might be allocated for running shoes etc .  This will be on a case by case basis.  The running community is amazing.  Together we can make an impact on lives.   Please consider making a donation towards saving someone's life.  And please share this campaign!
